This season's Survivor rocks. I never saw the original, but compared to last season's, the Africa version is far superior. Don't get me wrong, the Australian version was a great watch, but from the merge on, it became WAY too predictable. On the other hand, this season has seen alliances shifting on a weekly basis, as there is almost no way to tell who is going to get the boot next.

The best thing about last night's episode was that the little bitch Brandon finally got his ass tossed out of the tribe. With his removal, the most annoying people on the show--Silas, Lindsey, and Linda being the others--are now all gone, which makes me a happy camper. I thought Kim P. was going to be bad too, but she has changed for the better since the merge, not to mention she has a body that just won't quit. In my opinion, she's the best looking chick on the show yet.

Now, if they can just dump the all-encompassing evil that is Lex, life will be truly good in Africa. Well, besides, the massive starvation, infighting between warlords, and rampant AIDS epidemic affecting the rest of the continent. Oh well, gotta love population control, I guess.

I don't know why I haven't mentioned this yet, but I'm flying down to Naples, FL, this weekend to see the parents. Since I won't be able to do the Christmas thing on Christmas Day, this seemed like the best alternative, my aversion to flying notwithstanding. I found that the Xanax did a really good job during the Canada trip, so I made travel plans earlier this week.

We're doing the whole gift giving thing on Sunday night, and I still need to get my brother's gift (a PS2 game) and my parent's belated birthday present (a DVD player), but I'm good for my parent's Xmas presents. I've hinted that I want an Xbox for Xmas (what a promotional line!), but I'm not sure if that's gonna happen or not. In case you're wondering, I'm not very religious, so in my opinion, Christmas is ALL about the presents. :)

Well, the TV specials are good too, as you can never see Rudolph too many times. Actually, I just bought that DVD the other day (along with Jurassic Park 3), so I guess we can put that theory to the test. As I already have National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and the original Grinch movie, I'm starting to build up a little mini holiday DVD collection. I also want to get Scrooged, a few more of those claymation ones, and then the king of them all, Emmett Otter's Jugband Christmas, but I guess it will happen eventually.

In regards to flying and the airlines industry, does anyone else think that it's the most corrupt industry in America. I keep hearing how the profits are razor thin, but the only way that makes sense is if they are completely mismanaging their companies.

Explain to me how the EXACT same ticket can cost $226 on Tuesday night and then jump up to $320 the very next morning. Or that the day before the trip that ticket could jump to over a grand (I got it for $320, in case you are wondering). I can't understand why there isn't an oversight commitee over the airline industry, regulating it and putting one, stable price on every seat. The way it is now boggles the mind, what with the fluctuating costs due to supply and demand. It's like trying to buy something at some chaotic bazaar in Morocco (only without the AIDS, warlords, and starvation, of course).

It also boggles my mind that the government handed over billions in dollars to "save" the airline industry. It's enough to make you want to root for airlines to go under. Whatever the case, it has just given me more reason to never fly again.

Two potential changes to lists affecting me. First, I think I'm going to add Moulin Rouge to my favorite movies list on this site. Why? Well, if anyone remembers some of my earlier entries this year, I was gung-ho about seeing Jurassic Park 3 and Tomb Raider when they were in the theater. Well, it took me a while to actually get off my ass and see them, but I did and enjoyed them a lot. So when the DVDs came out, I picked up both of them, but it took me a few weeks to even open Tomb Raider, and I've yet to check out JP3, even though I bought it on Tuesday.

Moulin Rouge? I pre-ordered it almost two months ago, I listen to the soundtrack EVERY morning as I get ready for work (I'm actually listening to it on continuous play at work right now), and I've been thinking about it for the past month or so. Not like every waking moment, but when I think about upcoming purchases. The movie is just that damn good. Yeah, it may not sound like the most "guy" choice in the world, but it really is a damn good movie. Besides, I've got a history of liking musical, especially off-beat ones, such as Willy Wonka and the South Park movie. And don't even get me started on The King and I. Hell, I made a Yul Brynner reference in one of my first entries.

So yeah, Moulin Rouge is most likely gonna make an appearance on my profile page. The other list that will be affected is The List. You know, the one with the top 5 celebrities I wanna nail. :)

I rarely watch MTV, but the few times I've seen her, Shakira has really done it for me. I've only heard that one "Whenever" song, but it's pretty catchy (though it's no Moulin Rouge soundtrack). Anyway, I have to drop someone from the list, so therein lies the hard part. I toyed with dropping Britney, since Shakira seems to be occupy almost the same role, but screw it. Why drop one, when you can have them both? Haha, I sound like such a guy. I guess I've redeemed myself for the Moulin Rouge obsession.

So after careful consideration, I'm dropping Lacey Chabert. She hasn't been in anything recently, and I don't know if she ever will. Besides, it wouldn't hurt to raise the average age of my list, since it's gonna take a major hit when the Olsen twins hit 17. Haha, that just about made me laugh out loud. Just kidding...unless they make a porn or something.

So the latest revision of the list, in no real order, is Britney Spears, Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Connelly, and Shakira. Feel free to call, ladies.

Oh, one last little bit of wonderful news. I had a physical yesterday, and while everything turned out well there, I got my blood tests back today, and it appears my cholesterol, which has never been that great, is at an all-time high. Anything over 200 is considered not good, and I've had it in the 205-215 range for as long as I can remember. Well, kids and countrymen, I found out today it's up to 251!

The doctor wants me to go on a low-fat, low cholesterol diet and exercise more, and I've decided to take that advice to heart (no pun intended) since I have no desire to drop dead of a heart attack anytime soon. To be honest, the only reason I eat as much fast food as I do is because of it's convenience; I just plain don't like cooking. However, I'm going to do my best to eat healthy, whether it's my own cooking or those Healthy Choice type meals, which I usually eat anyway, if I'm eating frozen food. Also, there's an Atlanta Bread Company right across the street, and I would have no problem getting used to turkey or chicken sandwiches, as I've always been a fan of deli sandwiches.

Okay, I've blown off work for WAY too long today. Since I'll be at home all weekend, I don't expect to post anything again until Monday. Have a fun one.

Until next time...
